YEARS IN EVENTS
We bring data driven, experience based decision making and to the table.
We research and position your event to achieve high-economic impact results.
Our flagship product, The Blues Train, has been wowing audiences since 1994, hosting over 150,000 people on a musical journey on board a heritage steam train. Combining the best in live entertainment, dinner and a heritage train ride – this is one unique event you must experience!
Whether it be council or community based, or private enterprise, Bay City Events have the experience to advise you on how to maximise your return.
Whether you are looking for household names, headline crowd pullers or unique artists; a full line-up or a select few, we can curate a unique entertainment program to suit most budgets.
Whether you are private enterprise, a community or not-for-profit group or government body, we can work in with your brief and budget to deliver a memorable event.
Our team has over 30 years experience in events of all sizes – from major music festivals to small community facilitated events.

Kate is relatively new to the Surf Coast region, having moved from Melbourne in 2017.
When she’s not jumping out of airplanes around the Great Ocean Road, Kate joins us in the Bay City Events office as our Office Manager. You may also occasionally see her helping out the team on the Blues Train.
She comes to us with a background in Office Management, a Diploma in Work Health and Safety and a Certificate IV in Business Administration.
In 2015 Kate successfully organised and ran her own event in Torquay; Jump For M.S. – a skydiving event raising money for M.S. Research.
Ainslie recently joined the Bay City Events team after a number of years in the local wine industry.
Born and bred in Geelong, Ainslie has a passion for local business and loves to support her fellow hand-makers. Her vast administration experience spans over many industries, from employment consulting, HR management, real estate, local wine industries and local government, but we secretly think she joined us at The Blues Train because of her love of the movie The Blues Brothers
When she’s not relaxing with her family at their on-site van in Portland or running after their energetic 4 year old, she is busy hand-painting and hand making items for her hobby store Blue Wren Studio. You may also occasionally see her helping out the team on the Blues Train down at Queenscliff.
